Salutations!

Horror is one of my favourite genres, but not scary horror, old vfx and pratical effects and trashy comedy horrror! I'm not sure what starded my love for this type of film.. maybe it was reanimator, maybe it was the fact that I'm gay, but I've fallen in love with it. This is the little corner on my space that I'm dedicating to movie reviews, logs, gifs, etc.
Important stuff: even if I post different types of movies here, this will be pretty horror heavy, so beware of gore and violence in general. Also, pretty much all VHS images are from VHS Collector, the gifs will vary, so they'll be credited individually. Also, remember to check TWs before watching the recs!

Spoilers warning!!! These reviews are probably going to be longer and more detailed in the future, so these ones are just placeholders until I watch something that I have more thoughts on lol.

Blood Rage | 1987 | 92min

As a child, Todd was accused of a brutal murder committed by his psychopathic twin brother, Terry, and ended up incarcerated in an insane asylum. Twenty years later, Todd escapes from the institution and returns home to try to prove his innocence. But Terry decides to take advantage of the opportunity to kill the people around him and blame the fugitive twin for these crimes as well.

I had a lot of fun watching this! Can't believe he did The Billy tm before Billy. There was a lot of gore and good kills! I don't know what is it about Maddy that anoyyed me so deeply, but I was really hoping she died so I was not disaappointed.

The acting was pretty good for an 80's slasher, Louise Lasser is a talented actor!! The whole ending scene I thought was kinda unhinged, but I guess that was the idea. This movie is a hidden gem especially if you're into campy horror. It, indeed, was not cranberry sauce!

Rock N' Roll Nightmare | 1987 | 99min

At a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, a hopeful hair-metal band seeking inspiration to record their upcoming new LP will soon find themselves in a furious confrontation against the Prince of Darkness himself.

Oh boy... it's fun! I mean, the middle section of the film is just a bunch of long ass vanilla sex scenes, the kills are weak and boring, but the whole "I'm actually an archangel and these were all illusions to trick Satan" caught me SO OFF GUARD that I just forgot that it was boring.

The cute little guys at the end were the highlight of the movie! The songs were pretty good also.

Would I recommend? if you skip around it might be fun, but in general, not really.
